Communication Systems Lab
Spring 2017
Communication Systems Lab is a lab-oriented introductory course on digital communications for third-year and forth-year undergraduate students.
This course comprises two parts:
- System and Theory: In lectures, we introduce digital communication systems and basic communication theory.
- Lab and Implementation: During labs, you learn to simulate and implement basic building blocks of digital communication systems using
LabVIEW and USRP.
The lectures and labs are designed to cover four major topics: basics of digital communication systems, digital modulation, coded transmission, and wideband systems.
In addition, you will have a chance to survey up-to-date communication technologies, make a presentation to the entire class, and learn from your fellow classmates.
In the final project, you will form your own team and build a communication system using USRP.
