- You are welcome to bring drinks to the classroom. But, no smelly food, please.
- Turn off your mobile phone before class begins.
- No conversation or phone calls during the exams.

Having access to the Internet.
5 Recommended Textbooks:
- Closed-book in-class midterm exam (50%)
- Closed-book in-class final exam (50%)
Please also note that:
- You may bring two pages of personal notes (A4 size, content of your own choice) to the exams.
- Your class attendance record will not affect your course grade in any way.
But, if you miss classes for no reason, do not come ask for mercy when you fail the exams.- Class grades will be consistently adjusted to have a mean between 80 and 85.
To be sure, no adjustment of course grades will affect your class ranking.Optional Term Paper:
Those who like to submit a term paper for extra points are welcome to do so. You can pick any topic you like that is related to the course materials. It is due the last day of class, and is worth up to 5 points, depending on its quality and the amount of effort you put in.
The paper should include an introduction to the issue/problem, your analysis and policy suggestions, and a list of your reference sources.
*** This optional paper is not a substitute for midterm or final exam.
*** Please do not copy paragraphs from news media or other Internet sources.
