范德堡大學國家安全研究院與國立臺灣大學社會科學院於 4 月 23 日下午舉行學術交流座談會。
本次會議由本院張佑宗院長與經濟學國家講座教授劉錦添主持,與會人員包括臺灣社會韌性研究中心主任王道一教授、本院國際事務長郭銘傑副教授、公共經濟政策研究中心江淳芳教授、胡佛東亞民主研究中心黃凱苹副教授,以及臺灣社會韌性研究中心蘇翊豪助理教授。
范德堡大學則由政治學系副教授 Brett Benson 與校長特命顧問暨工程與管理科學教授 Brett Goldstein 代表出席。
本院欣然宣布,雙方在本次座談中針對臺灣安全與國家韌性合作研究已達成實質性進展,並期待未來持續深化雙邊合作關係。同時,本院亦感謝本校國際處的協助。
On the afternoon of April 23, the Vanderbilt University Institute of National Security and the College of Social Sciences at National Taiwan University convened a joint academic exchange meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Dean Yutzung Chang and National Chair Professor of Economics Jin-Tan Liu, with participation from Professor Joseph Tao-yi Wang, Director of the Taiwan Social Resilience Research Center; Associate Professor Jason Kuo, Associate Dean for International Affairs; Professor Chun-Fang Chiang from the Public Economic Policy Research Center; Associate Professor Kai-Ping Huang from the Hu Fu Center for East Asia Democratic Studies; and Assistant Professor Yi-Hao Su from the Taiwan Social Resilience Research Center.
The Vanderbilt delegation was represented by Associate Professor Brett Benson from the Department of Political Science and Professor Brett Goldstein, Special Advisor to the Chancellor for National Security and Strategy Initiatives and Professor of Engineering and Management Science.
The College is pleased to report that the meeting resulted in substantive progress toward collaborative research initiatives focused on Taiwan's security and national resilience. Both institutions look forward to deepening their partnership in the future. The College also appreciates assistance from the University's Office of International Affairs.
