The National Taiwan University of Industry Liaison Office held an annual conference. More than 200 participants from well-known enterprises and universities participated in the conference. The conference held a corporate discussion on the topic of “talent and innovation”, bringing together resources and innovations from top domestic and foreign companies. We will work hard to upgrade the development of Taiwan's industry and connect with the international community.
Kuan Chung-Ming, president of national Taiwan university, addressed that the world is facing many challenges such as population ageing, climate change, and trade war, supply chain, plate displacement.
The new opportunities like AI applications, 5G and Internet of Things are growing very fast, biomedical breakthroughs, new energy sources. The development of circular economy and other developments will be a new challenge for countries to compete in; Kuan Chung-Ming said that the NTUILO should move from peer-to-peer cooperation to integrated cross-industry interaction. The core value of the university in the future is to cultivate complex changes. Talents, and then become "the talents of leadership change", from the perspective of industry and education innovation, it is to achieve "the enterprise that creates the future."

David Peng stressed that, in the past, enterprise has many difficulties to connect with National Taiwan University, because there is no single contact window. If you want to engage NTU resources’ or finding a professor to cooperate with, could be very challenging.
Enterprises never cease seeking fresh talents to join their entities, and how do companies grow, also how to get the resources of National Taiwan University? NTUILO has a lot of customized courses such as AI, business management, middle and high-level management courses, etc., which is quite helpful for the improvement of business capabilities; NTUILO also provides many services such as technology transfer, and some are patents owned by professors, and the capability of developed technology or software, or even some professional research reports in the industry, ILO also has such a database to provide business consulting. There are many new innovation teams in NTU, highly potential and waiting for any opportunities and that will be our responsibilities to link up the industry and the NTU resources’.
