About AFPC

Advanced Fluid Power Control Laboratory (AFPCL) was founded and named Hydraulic Laboratory by Prof. Yih-Nan CHEN, Ex-Dean of College of Engineering of National Taiwan University, in 1982. Since 2007 Advanced Fluid Power Control Laboratory (AFPCL) has become the new name of the laboratory and been led by Prof. CHIANG, Mao-Hsiung for expanding the research fields. Based on opto-mechatronics, automatic control, sensing tech, and smart material, the research fields contain the fundamentals and applications of the fluid power control, including

  • Fluid power system design and control
  • Robotics
  • Wind turbines
  • Green energy systems
  • Vehicle systems
  • Process equipments of Flat Panel Display
  • Machine tools
  • Automation systems
  • Bio-medical systems

for developing advanced research and novel technology for academic research and industrial cooperation.
