Basic tutorial

This basic tutorial will provide useful information to generate a mesh, solve a linear PDE, use a formulation with matrices and solve examples with steady and time evolution model PDEs.
This session is very useful for undergraduate students in studying numerical method and engineering mathematics courses.

• FreeFem++ features,
• the software installation,
• the working environment and files,
• FreeFem++ programming language,
• mesh generation,
• implementation with examples in biology, computational mechanics and heat transfer,
• helping participant to develop their own applications in FreeFem++.

4 sessions of two-hour tutorial lecture
