| Based on the original thought of developing high and new technologies in solving the existing problems and promoting the growth of fishery industry, supporting funds were sought from the council of Agriculture for the construction of the Fisheries Science Research Building in 1979. To integrate in Fisheries-related teaching and research units on campus of NTU, and to strengthen and expand the fields Fisheries science research , we established the Institute of Fisheries Science to start recruiting students pursuing Master degree of science in aquaculture and fishery resources in 1986 and started form 1997 we began offering Ph.D. program |
