  Our Institute is located in the Fisheries Science Research Building , on the right side of the College of Science Building. Fifty-six rooms of various sizes are arranged for offices, auditorium, conference rooms laboratories, hatcheries, greenhouse cluture ponds, cold rooms, walk-in incubators, herbarium, and strict areas for radioisotope operation and cell culture, The Institute is well equipped with facilities and instruments for culture and breeding of aquatic organism, water quality analysis, microscopic observation, recording and transgenic operation. There are also instruments for biochemical and bioorganic analysis, such as , automatic DNA sequencer, DNA polymerase chain reactor, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Fluorescence spectrometer, Fourier-Transtorm Infra-red spectrometer, capillary electrophoresis, High performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography Mass Selective Detector, and Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer.

    Annually a budget of around NT$400T is located for the subscription of more than 16 fisheries-related journals, and NT$100T on the related books. All the assigned journals and books are kept in the Main Library of the university and open to the pubic.
