From July 25 to July 29, 2024, the BIO Asia-Taiwan Exhibition will be grandly held at Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1. The Global Industry Platform of NTU System (T5GIP), consisting of National Taiwan University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taiwan Normal University, Chang Gung University, and Ming Chi University of Technology, will join forces with National Taiwan University Hospital and the NTU SPARK Program to showcase innovative technologies and research in the fields of biotechnology and medical care. This exhibition aims to give the public a glimpse into the research capabilities of these institutions.
The T5GIP pavilion will feature themes such as "Presentation of Cutting-edge Innovative Technologies," "Advanced Medical Devices and New Drug Development," and "Diverse Applications of AI in Biomedicine." Units and laboratories within the system are invited to share and demonstrate various innovative frontier technologies and research.

For instance, innovative technologies such as using popular virtual reality to solve medical challenges in remote areas and applying AI in endoscopic microscopy systems will be showcased. Other innovations include piezoelectric bone nails that stimulate stem cells to enhance bone regeneration, biomimetic dismutase colloidal compounds for eliminating solid tumors and reducing neurodegeneration, and bioabsorbable bone adhesive tapes with superior biocompatibility and high adhesion, all showcasing new possibilities in future medical care.

Additionally, there will be smart sensor and laser-guided shoes combining plantar pressure and inertial sensing detection, the development of a speech therapy app " Speak Fluently: Speech screening assessment " that is not limited by geography, and an AI-assisted generative intelligent disease classification coding system that ensures the security and privacy of information and medical records. These exhibits highlight the convenience and advancement of modern technology combined with clinical medicine.
Besides static posters and product displays that fully demonstrate the deep strength and rich experience of each school in scientific research innovation and technology transformation, the platform will also feature dynamic stage interactions. Team leaders and mentors will be invited to give speeches, vividly sharing their achievements with the public, further bridging technology and products with the market and the public, creating the most professional and diverse pavilion.
After the exhibition, T5GIP will continue to promote the application and technology transfer of various research achievements and strive to enhance cooperation between academia and industry. We look forward to showcasing more innovative technologies in the future, jointly promoting the development of Taiwan's biotechnology industry.
