Stanford University, together with the publishing house Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, has created a ranking of 2% of the best scientists in the world (out of 7.9 million scientists in total). The report was prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John Ioannidis, the eminent Professor at the Stanford University. The database was created to provide updated analyses and a publicly available database of top scientists. Updated databases and code are freely available in
