Small Animal ENT and Sleep Medicine Lab

Our graphic artists

Ensuring animal welfare and healthcare quality requires collaboration among veterinarians, pet owners, breeders, and the general public. In our research group, we educate the public about accurate pet care and medical practices through social media platforms, including our official website, Facebook fan page, and Instagram profile. We collaborate with artists to create visually appealing and easily understandable graphic content. This approach allows us to gain insights into and effectively communicate various aspects of animal healthcare from the public's perspective.

I am interested in becoming a collaborative illustrator (click here).

Shawn Han

Shawn Han graduated from the Veterinary Department of National Taiwan University and has practiced clinical veterinary medicine in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. With extensive experience as a lecturer and in promoting veterinary techniques within the industry, she established the "Veterinarian Shawn Han" Facebook page in 2018. This page is renowned for its engaging illustrated articles on pet healthcare, providing scientifically supported knowledge to pet owners.

Shawn Han's artistic style is expressive rather than realistic, capturing animals with a unique perspective that reflects her deep understanding of their interactions with humans. She frequently employs digital illustration, transparent watercolors, and oils in her work.

Jojo(Diba's owner)

Jojo started out as a product designer. By chance, she adopted a black French Bulldog named Diba (meaning "pork" in Taiwanese), who had been abandoned in front of her house. From learning about Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) to experiencing a dramatic surgery that restored Diba's ability to breathe freely, JoJo's passion for illustration was reignited.

Initially disinterested in drawing illustrations or comics, she resumed drawing to capture her lovely moments with Diba and established the "Diba is a Fadou" (meaning "French bulldog" in Chinese) Facebook fan page. This journey transformed her from a product designer into a graphic designer and illustrator. Fate is a wonderful thing!
