Between hepatocytes, there is a small circular canal, bile canaliculi (BC) into which hepatocytes secret bile.
Space between hepatocyte plate is sinusoids (S) which are lined by endothelial cells and Kupffer cells (KC) which has a large nucleus and protrude into the sinusoid.

The intestinal villi consisted of simple columnar epithelium with microvilli and the lamina propria (LP). Goblet cells (green arrows) can be identified by apical dark blue-stained mucous cup. The lamina propria (LP) beneath the epithelium is highly cellular loose connective tissue and lacteals (black stars) could be observed in the center of the villi.

This enlarged photo showed obvious simple columnar epithelium with microvilli (red brackets), covered the simple columnar epithelium ). Goblet cells (green arrows) can be identified by apical dark blue-stained mucous cup. Lacteals (black stars) in lamina propria could be observed in the center of the villi and it is lined by simple squamous epithelium. A capillary (C) was shown with red blood cells. Dilated basal-lateral intercellular spaces (black arrows) are seen at the base of the columnar epithelium.
