Yeh, PhD 葉明叡
Hello visitors, welcome to my
site. I am a student of public health and an assistant professor jointly
appointed at the Institute of Health Policy and Management and the Department
of Public Health in National Taiwan University College of Public Health,
Taipei, Taiwan. I also serve as the executive secretary of the
interdisciplinary Health
Policy and Social Studies Program hosted by the Department of Public
Health.
My research interests include
comparative health and welfare systems, public health ethics, normative
political theory, and more recently political violence prevention. I
particularly focus on studying, developing, and applying the concept of
solidarity. The scope of my investigation extents from Taiwan and East Asia to
global issues and from the present to futures. I published the book 重返邊界:民主政治中的團結、永續與公共衛生倫理 [The Boundary Revisited: Solidarity,
Sustainability, and Public Health Ethics in Democracy] (Kaohsiung: Chuliu Books) in March 2024. The public health ethics
readers’ companion I co-edited, 以健康之名?10道公衛政策倫理難題,培養公民思辨力
[In the Name of Health: Unpacking 10
Ethical Dilemmas of Public Health Policies] (New Taipei: Linking Books),
was published in March 2023. I have also published research articles in American
Journal of Public Health, Public Health Ethics, Health Care Analysis, Health
Security, and Taiwan Journal of Public Health, among others.
I received my PhD in Health
Services Research and Health Policy (Political Science Track) from Emory
University, Georgia, USA, and MS in Health Policy and Management and BS in
Public Health from National Taiwan University.
