Graduate and Undergraduate Courses
The institute offers Ph.D. and Master programs. The candidates for the Ph.D. Degree must fulfill a minimum of 18 credits in course work (as for the students who pursue their Ph.D. directly from undergraduate degree are required to accomplish at least 30 credits in course work), pass the qualification examinations, and complete a doctoral dissertation(12 credits in addition)with publications in high-level referred journals. The candidates for the Master Degree must fulfill a minimum of 24 credits in course work and complete a master thesis of 6 credits. The time limits of the academic study are:2 to 7 years for Ph.D., 1 to 4 years for Master program while for those who pursuing Ph.D. directly from undergraduate will have to accomplish at least one year study in Master program then move on to the Ph.D. program and follow the regulation of Ph.D. program. The required courses and credits for Ph.D. students are:Research Training (4), Seminar(2), Group discussion(2), Discussion in Advanced Biochemistry(3).The required courses and credits for Master students are:Research Training(4), Seminar(2), Group discussion(2), Cellular & Molecular Biology(4), Chemical & Structural Biology(2,2), Methods and Experiments in Biochemistry(2)。The selective courses for both Ph.D. and Master programs are:Molecular Biology of Cancer(3), Glycobiology(2), Cell Growth & Apoptosis(2), Neurochemistry(2), The Stories of Great Biochemists(3), Biochemical laboratory teaching & practical training(1), DNA Damage Response(2).

Besides, the Institute also takes charge of the integration of undergraduate biochemistry education on the main campus and offers biochemistry laboratory courses for the students of the Colleges of Life Science, Sciences, Engineering and Public Health, the Departments of Animal Science and Technology, Veterinary Medicine, Plant Pathology and Microbiology.
