ICPEAL
the International Conference on the Processing of East Asian Languages
The International Conference on the Processing of East Asian Languages (ICPEAL), which has been held every two or three years since 1978, provides opportunities for researchers to disseminate new research findings, to exchange new ideas, to develop new paradigms, and, consequently, to advance the cognitive study of East Asian languages.
The 16th ICPEAL was held during 8th-10th, December, 2016 at South China Normal University, Guangzhou, China. The conference had keynote addresses, symposiums, and poster sessions. The conference was organized by the School of Psychology at South China Normal University, co-sponsored by the Division of the Psychology of Language, Chinese Psychological Society, and the Chinese Association of Psycholinguistics.
This edition of ICPEAL, in joint conference with CLDC, marks its 40-year anniversary, and also the return to the place where the first ICPEAL was held: at National Taiwan University, Taipei.
