PSE 7006: PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY OF POLYMERS (高分子物理化學)

Discussion of real polymer chains, thermodynamics of mixing, polymer solutions, polymer dynamics, polymer surface and interfaces, self-assembly of amphiphilic molecules, intermolecular forces in colloids and polymeric materials, polyelectrolytes, networks and gels.
 
   
PSE 7003: FUNDAMENTALS AND APPLICATIONS OF POLYMER PROCESSING (高分子加工原理與應用)
Second semester 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 (3 units)
First semester 2020, 2021 (3 units)
 
Discussion of engineering principles, including momentum, energy, and mass transfer and rheology of polymer melt applied to polymer processing. Basic processing, such as extrusion, postdie processing, molding and forming will be briefly introduced.
 
   
PSE 7042: STRUCTURES AND PHASE TRANSITIONS OF POLYMERS (高分子結構與相變)

This course focuses on the physics of polymer in bulk state, specifically in amorphous, crystalline and liquid crystalline states. The topics include configuration and conformation of polymer chains, crystal structure, crystallization kinetics, glass transition, orientation of polymer chains and scattering techniques for characterizing polymer structures.
