Welcome to my lab website.

Some history

I graduated from the Department of Botany for my B.S. degree at NTU and received my PhD at Univeristy of California, Davis. I set up my lab at NTU in 2001. Back then, it is still under Department of Botany. We had gone through a major reorganisation of life science departments, and eventually I ended up being part of the Institute of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I am still associated with the Department of Life Science, too. I am interested in many aspects of botany and plant evolution related subjects. In fact, I have quite broad interests, including astronomy, geography, and many other like photography. The picture above is one of my favorities, an inflorescence of Trochodendron aralioides, I took at Su-Mei-Ping (樹梅坪).
