簡歷
先生諱振興，字光夏，河南省汝南縣人，生於民國元年(1912)8月22日(農曆7月10日)，卒於民國94年(2005)元月7日，享年94歲。一生職務甚多，學術行政重要者有河南大學工學院院長、臺灣大學工學院院長、臺灣省教育廳長、中山科學研究院院長、成功大學校長、清華大學校長，本校第六任校長(民國59年6月至70年7月)、教育部長、中央研究院院士、評議員。工程等實務則歷任滇緬公路工務局正工程司、黃河堵口復堤工程局工務處長、高雄港務局總工程司、行政院青年輔導委員會主任委員、原子能委員會主任委員等。
President Yen was born in Henan Province in 1912. Over the span of his professional career, Yen held a multitude of positions in the academia as well as in the public sector, including serving as minister of the Ministry of Education. President Yen believed that the university's role was to cultivate talent so as to contribute to nation's development. He also emphasized the importance of the unity between education and research in the University's operations.

其治校理念主在強調培育人才對國家社會的實用性，強調研究與教學不能分開。
Its school management philosophy mainly emphasizes the practicality of cultivating talents for the country and society, and emphasizes that research and teaching cannot be separated.
閻振興先生生平與主持臺大校務的作風
他是位君子，是位學人，著有領導群倫的才能。對國家的貢獻卓越，曾得教育、工程、國防科技方面的四項國家勳章。
