Admission for international degree students must go through the Office of International Affairs of National Taiwan University.
The department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering admits international student for B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. For the bachelor program, command of Mandarin Chinese is a must because undergraduate courses are mostly offered in Chinese ONLY. For graduate degrees, knowledge of English is sufficient.
Applicants to the graduate program are recommended to contact potential advisors beforehand regarding research interests. Those applicants who do not have potential advisor(s) within the department will not be considered for admission.
