![]() ![]() Pleione
formosana When I was in Taiwan, every spring I used to buy some pseudobulbs of Pleione formosan and grew them in gravels with water. In a couple of weeks the elegance flowers would appear before the leaves started growing. Native in the mountain area in Taiwan, although growing well in the low land, they are not able to produce flowers again in the warm weather. New York's cool weather should be ideal for P. formosa. Unfortunately, peopole here seems not familiar with it or its related species. I couold not find any around. |
