ABOUT PI

Gene J-Y You received the Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering in 1997 and Masters in Civil Engineering in 1999, both from National Taiwan University. In 2008, he completed his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduation, he worked for Illinois State Water Survey as a hydraulic engineer and contracted with International Food Policy Research Institute for consultancy work. Gene joined National Taiwan University in the Department of Civil Engineering as an Assistant Professor from 2009, and now is Full Professor in the department.
