Conference
The following information is regarding relevant information at your arrival and conference venue. Please bring with you when you are coming to Taiwan.
Information for foreign speakers:
1. Before departure
1) Procedures for arrival
The temperature is about 15 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius on December in Taipei. Please make sure you can obtain the detail weather information before you depart from your country. You can simply browse the Central Weather Bureau website for further information.
2) Don't forget your powerpoint files and a good mood.
2. At the airport
1) Procedures for arrival
You will land in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and please prepare the following essential documents for arrive: passport, custom declaration form, and passengers of foreign nationality: Visa, flight ticket, Disembarkation Form. For further information please refer to the website of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
2) Pick up service
We will arrange pick up service for each foreign speaker. Most of you will be picked up by the car rental company in the airport to your hotel directly. If you did not see the “driver” who is waiting for you, please call our staffs.
3. In Taipei
1) Hotel
Most of you will live in Leader Hotel, Taipei during the conference. The Hotel is also a place of welcome party on day one. The Hotel is located on Roosevelt Road and adjacent to Gongguan MRT and nightmarket. It is also near the National Taiwan Unviersity and the conference spot. 4. At the conference
1) Location
TThe conference will be hold in GIS NTU Conference Center. Inauguration will be hold at Socrates Chamber and Plenary Sessions will be hold at Locke Chamber and Raphael Chamber. The conference center is near the National Taiwan Unviersity and Gongguan MRT Station. The Center's is at B1, No. 85, Sec. 4, Roosevelt Road, Taipei. At the end of fisrt day of conference, we hold a welcome party for each speakers at the Leader Hotel Restaurant that is just near the conference center within 5 minutes walking distance. Please refer to the website of Leader Hotel Resturant for further information.
