Welcome to the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology!? You have chosen to concentrate in a fast-moving area of modern science.

Over the next four years you will take courses that are designed to develop both depth and breadth in Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology as well as allow you to specialize in areas of greatest interest such as Plant Pathology, Applied Microbiology, Biotechnology etc.

As a Senior you will begin independent work, intended to familiarize you with the reading, analysis and writing of scientific papers from the primary literature.  With your research advisor, you will begin your research project in earnest.
