| 工作內容 |
Our research team is seeking 1~2 Research Associates to join us in exploring the evolution, ecology, and biology of eukaryotic microbes with key ecological roles on Earth. We focus on the interactions between microbes and their environment and utilize cutting-edge omics and bioinformatics tools to uncover their evolutionary trajectories and regulatory mechanisms. Currently, we are conducting an NSTC-funded project on marine algae, population variation, and warming. This position is open until filled.
顧銓研究室現正招募 1 至 2 位研究助理，加入我們探索真核微生物之演化、生態與生物學上的關鍵生態角色。我們著重微生物與環境之間的互動，並利用尖端的多體學與生物資訊工具發掘演化軌跡與調控機制。目前我們正執行國科會(NSTC)資助的計畫，研究海藻族群變異與暖化相關議題。本職缺即日起開放申請，額滿為止。

Integrate biological data with physical, chemical, and oceanographic parameters for comprehensive analysis.
- Investigate the genomic variation, transcriptomic regulation and physiological properties of lipid synthesis and host-virus interactions
Conduct omics studies to investigate the physiological properties of marine algae.

Job description (Tasks are assigned flexibly; not all are required.)
- Culture and maintain microalgal and protist strains.
- DNA/RNA extraction, NGS libraries preparation, and perform sequencing.
- Design and conduct genomic, transcriptomic, or metabolomics experiments and analyses.
- Perform bioinformatic analyses, including genome assembly, annotation, and phylogenomic analysis, etc..
- May participate in field sampling during research cruises.
- Manage routine laboratory tasks and other assigned duties.
工作內容（彈性分配，非所有項目皆為必須）
- 培養與維護微藻與原生生物菌株
- DNA/RNA抽取、NGS library建置與定序
- 設計並執行基因體、轉錄體或代謝體實驗與數據分析
- 生物資料分析，包括基因體組裝、註解、系統基因組學分析等
- 研究航次期間，可能需參與現場採樣
- 實驗室例行管理與其他交辦事項

| 應徵資格 |
- Master’s degree in biology, bioinformatics, data science, oceanography, or a related field.
- Relevant research experience related to the described topics and tasks.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in English writing and communication, including report writing and presenting research findings.
- Familiarity with Linux and programming languages is a plus.
- 擁有生物學、生物資訊學、數據科學、海洋學或相關領域碩士學位
- 具備與上述主題/技術相關之研究經驗
- 積極主動，能獨立作業並具團隊合作與溝通能力
- 具備良好英文書寫與表達能力，包括撰寫報告及發表研究成果
- 熟悉 Linux 系統與程式語言者尤佳
Our institute is part of Academia Sinica, the Taiwanese academy of sciences. The working language in our lab and institute is English. Knowledge in Mandarin or other Taiwanese languages is not required, but foreign researchers are encouraged to take Mandarin classes if they want.
