Relationship between daily occupational experiences and subjective well-being

My colleagues and I are interested in the relationship between daily occupational
experiences and subjective well-being. In our previous studies, we found that
subjective or psychological well-being is related to daily occupational experiences.
Those who experience more positive affective experiences tend to be happier than
others. We have studied the subjective well-being of long-term stroke survivors and
found that the most relevant factor for subjective well-being is the level of
reintegration to normal living. In the future we plan to identify daily activities that
contribute to a normal life, and to develop a method of measuring the contributions of
daily occupations to subjective well-being. Our goal is to define "normal living" for
long-term stroke survivors and other clients so that we can develop better
rehabilitation programs for them.
