    Abstract: We study the book "Parallel MATLAB for Multicore and Multinode Computers" by Jeremy Kepner in this seminar. The main themes are parallel algorithms, parallel programming models, and parallel implementation. A hands-on approach using pMatlab is taken to design, code, debug, and test techniques required to quickly produce well-performing parallel programs.

    摘要:「矩陣計算」是計算科學中一個重要的核心工具。此系列課程將針對大型的線性系統與特徵值問題兩大主題,以統合的觀點(線性系統與特徵值分別以 PCG Arnoldi 為主要方法),闡述傳統與近代發展的計算理論與計算方法,以期在短期內對此主題的整體架構,有全面且深入的了解。

    摘要:GPUGraphic Processing Unit, 圖形處理器)與電腦叢集的快速發展與強大計算能力,預期將把科學計算提昇到另一層次。為掌握此一發展趨勢,此系列演講針對大型矩陣計算,介紹如何在電腦叢集使用平行程式庫,以及如何在GPU 上撰寫程式與開發軟體。內容從基本平行計算概念開始,逐漸涵蓋當今最先進的知識與方法,內容特別著重 GPU 運作概念的建立與精熟。大學部與研究所同學也歡迎參加。
