《演員訓練工作坊》主持人Craig Turner 係本系「邁向頂尖大學計劃」專程從美國北卡羅萊納大學戲劇學系 (Dept. of Dramatic Art, U of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) 延聘之國際知名學者。他還有一個你不可不知道的身份—姚坤君老師的老師也就是大家的—師公!

 

本次 Craig Turner 應本系之邀,將於3至4月來台舉辦為期2個月之《演員訓練工作坊》,共開設3種課程、5個班次(點此看詳細時間表):

  • 時間概況:

《演員訓練工作坊》共開設5班,包括 "Stage Combat for Actors" 2 班(每週上課2次)"Neutral Mask Training for Actors" 2 班(每週上課2次)與 "Juggling for Actors" 1 班(每週上課1次)。點此看詳細時間表

  • 人數限制:

每班人數限11人,每年級各開放11個名額(大學部延畢生及研究生合算一個年級),每人限參加1班。若超額則參考個人履歷表及歷年成績單進行篩選。入選名單將於2/27(二) 中午以後公佈在系辦外公佈欄。

  • 報名方式:

本工作坊免費參加,本系學生優先。

有意報名者請於2月25日( 日)前填妥報名表,並檢附「個人履歷表」(內容須包含表演經驗簡歷、曾修習之表導演相關課程及歷年成績單),擲交戲劇學系辦公室(如遇假日請投系辦信箱並務必來電或email告知)。

Course Title

Stage Combat for Actors A & B

Instructor

Prof. Craig Turner

Time

Tuesday & Thursday, 1.5hrs each time

Description

A course that teaches basic and intermediate techniques in empty-handed stage fighting. We will cover safe techniques for slaps, punches, kicks, holds and grabs, falling and rolling. We will also study combat choreography and see how it relates to the actor's work of creating believable characters.

Objective

To develop safe and effective techniques for empty-handed stage combat useful in a variety of scenes. To show how stage combat can contribute to character development.

 

 

Requirement

This is a performance course, requiring that the student participate physically  in each class. No previous experience or special physical skills are necessary.

Neutral Mask Training for Actors A & B

Instructor

由於課程安排因素,原訂 Neutral Mask Training for Actors 每週一在實驗劇場上課,將改至系館110教室上課週四維持在實驗劇場上課)。

Description

By eliminating facial expression, the neutral mask is an effective tool to help the actor develop greater awareness and control through the body. Then   specific physical states and gestures can be selected to create dramatic characters. Individual exercises in mask and class observation/discussion will be used.

Objective

To help the actor develop a greater awareness and control of body movement. To understand better how an audience sees and interprets movement in dramatic performance. To begin to develop a vocabulary for describing movement in performance.

 

Requirement

No previous experience necessary. All students will perform in mask frequently and are expected to participate fully in discussions.

Juggling for Actors

Instructor

Thursday, 1.5hrs

Description

An introduction to beginning juggling as mind and body training for actors. We will use juggling as a way to explore balance, fine motor control, image placement, relaxation, breathing, rhythm and timing.

Objective

To show how juggling can help the actor refine the connection between mind and body. To enhance the actor's sense of subtle motor skills that are used in performance.

 

Requirement

No previous experience necessary. Students are required to bring a set of balls with them to each class (lacrosse balls, standard juggling balls or beanbag-style balls—no tennis balls or pingpong balls).
