Research interests

I am broadly interested in geophysical fluid dynamics, especially within the context of coastal ocean processes. Currently, my research focuses on buoyancy-driven circulation on continental shelves such as plumes and coastal currents, and estuarine flows. The approach mostly involves conceptually simple numerical experiments, from which mathematical models or scaling could be developed. The goal is to gain understanding of dynamical behavior that is similar in the diverse coastal systems.
