研究領域
◆ 疫病菌與寄主植物之交互作用
疫病菌屬 (Phytophthora) 包含100多種疫病菌,其中許多為植物重要病原菌,例如在馬鈴薯與番茄引發晚疫病的 Phytophthora infestans、在大豆引發疫病的 Phytophthora sojae、寄主範圍至為廣泛的 Phytophthora parasitica (= P. nicotianae) 與Phytophthora capsici 等,相關研究一直備受重視。近年來,不論研究病原菌基因體學或探討病原菌與寄主植物的交互作用,疫病菌也一直是眾所矚目的焦點。本研究室主要研究 P. parasitica 與番茄、菸草等茄科植物的交互作用,除了探討植物對疫病菌基礎防禦反應所涉機制,也致力於自 P. parasitica 發現novel elicitors/ apoplastic effectors,並分析其功能與特性。此外,我們也建立重要疫病菌的分子檢測技術及P. infestans 基因分型技術,期能應用於快速檢測,以助鑑別疫病菌種類及瞭解晚疫病菌族群在田間的存在情形。另一方面,亦著手開發疫病菌防治技術,希望有助於防治病害。
