NTU Philosophy Department
Research Group of Continental Philosophy
The development of philosophy has turned its focus from pure theoretical to the practical aspects. Hence the problems of value and conflicts of values have been worldwidely concerns. However, most discussions about these topics are confined within the domain of moral philosophy, but not much through the approach of continental philosophy. With this background given, we try to discover how the problems of value be handled in modern continental philosophy, especially in french and german philosophers' thoughts, and to broaden research domains for philosophical research groups in Taiwan.
Our Goals:
- Find out the possible solutions of problems of value.
- Provide a promising research environment for teachers and students.
- Promote international participation.
