劍橋拉丁文課程 （Book
1）適合對西方語言演變及歷史有興趣之學員。教師將放慢教學速度，以輕鬆有趣的方式帶領學員認識拉丁文，並對古羅馬文化與社會有所認識。已經修習Wheelock拉丁文密集課程的學員也可以修習本課程，可以更了解古羅馬社會的庶民生活百態。
本課程使用劍橋大學針對學習拉丁文所出版之多樣化教材，包含影片、紀錄片等互動式教材，並介紹拉丁文與現代英文之關聯。採用古典著作改寫而成之簡易拉丁文本，短期內可提升第二外國語能力。完成第四冊之後若通過劍橋大學所提供之檢測，可取得劍橋大學頒發之證明書。

A well-established, successful and fun
program developed by the Cambridge
School Classics Project. It provides an
enjoyable careful paced introduction to
the Latin Language, complemented by
background information on Roman culture
and civilization. The material
progresses from simple stories written
specially for the Course, through
adaptations of Roman authors, to
original texts. In addition to the
textbook covering Book I the instructor
will be utilizing many
specially-prepared documentaries and
video introductions, video
dramatizations, and explanations of
language as well as hundreds of
interactive activities. The course will
also introduce students to English
derivatives from Latin.
Those students finishing Book 4 may choose to write a
special examination given by Cambridge University
confirming their level in the Cambridge Latin Course.
The same is available after Book 8. There is also a
possibility that NTU students may be able to use this
course for credit in their program once they have
completed at least 140 hours of classroom contact and
passed all required exams. There will be an exam at the
end of each book administered by the instructor.
