Regulations for Admission

International students to be admitted to this university refer to those:
1. Who do not hold overseas Chinese student status and non-Chinese nationality.
2. Who are recommended and sponsored by a foreign government or school or organization on the basis of cultural cooperation agreement.

Applicants for admission as non-matriculated must have held R.O.C. alien residence certificate.

Applicants are required to attain Chinese proficiency in listening, reading, speaking, and writing.

Applicants must conform to requirements for admission to undergraduate or graduate study.

Applicants must have fulfilled all the course requirements in the schools where they previously attended or are currently attending.

Applicants for undergraduate admission must have attained an average grade of C or 70, and a grade C in each of the major courses related to their fields of study at the university. Applicants for graduate admission must have attained an average grade of B or 75, and a grade B in each of the major courses related to their fields of study at the university.

Each department or graduate institute at this university might admit international students no more than 1/5 of the native students in number during each academic year. However, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, those who carry out international projects of academic cooperation may apply themselves for a different quota set by the MoE.

Each applicant can only apply for admission to one department (one graduate institute) or for enrollment of non-matriculation.

Subject to school enrollment policies, the applicants specified below cannot be admitted to this university. Any violation of these policies will result in cancellation of the applicant's candidacy for admission.
1. The applicant, as an international student, was admitted by and graduated from any university or college in R.O.C.
2. The applicant, as an international student, was expelled from any university or college in R.O.C.
3. The applicant, who registered as a non-matriculated student, was nullified of his/her enrollment owing to violation of the regulations of this university.
