 Scholarship
Encouragement in their studies and the stabilization of their life:
The government has offered many kinds of scholarships and grants. The most important ones are as follows:
a. Scholarship for outstanding overseas Chinese students: This is offered by the Committee of Overseas Chinese Affairs, NT$5,000 a year.
b. Scholarship donated by overseas Chinese: offered by the Committee of Overseas Chinese Affairs, NT$5,000-10,000 a year.
c. Scholarship of the Overseas Chinese Association offered by the Overseas Chinese Association, NT$5,000 a year.
d. Scholarship for Overseas-Chinese: This is offered by the Committee of Overseas-Chinese Affairs, NT$5,000-15,000 a year.
e. Governmental grants: offered by the Ministry of Education, NT$3,528 a month. In addition, there are subsidies for clothes and books, NT$2,500 a semester.
