Foreign Language Teaching & Resource Center

Established in 1965, Foreign Language Teaching & Resource Center (original name: Audio-Visual Educational Center) is dedicated to providing language learning services and facilities to the students of National Taiwan University.

The center's current facilities include the following:

The seating capacity of the theater is 186, good for small conferences and programs. It is available for renting to internal units and clubs, external institutes and groups, and for personal concerts.

 

There are a total of ten classrooms in this three level building. Six of them are language labs equipped with digital language learning devices. All rooms have internet connections, DVD players and projectors.

 

Collections

The Resource Room 302 contains a collection of foreign language teaching and self-learning materials. There are also some classical music and movie resources. All the materials are limited to use in the Resource Room (NTU faculty may check out materials). Students may enjoy programs at the individual sets of DVDs, CDs and computers in the room. There is also a small group entertainment room for watching DVDs and videos.

Open Hours (R302)

Monday to Friday 8:30~16:45 (closed on national holidays)

Non-NTU faculty and students are required to show the interlibrary loan service card in order to use our materials and facilities. (To apply for a card valid for 6 months, please bring 2 one-inch photos + ID card + NT$520)

 

Multimedia and Computer Room (104 and 105) contain 45 computers each. R105 is open to students Monday to Friday 17:00~21:00 while classes are in session.
