Pollen morphology
   

Circular or semiangular 3-colporate, peroblate spheroidal to oblate, 13.9 to 21.8 x 17.8 to 29.7 um, P/E = 0.62 to 1.11; polar axis, equatorial axis, and P/E varied among pollen grains from different areas, varieties, and flower types. 'Yu Her Pau' has larger pollen grains than 'Hak Ip'. Within varieties, Pollen from hermaphrodite functioning as female flowers is rounder than from hermaphrodite functioning as male flowers and male flowers
