Welcome to the “Surface-Atmosphere Interactions Laboratory” (SAIL) of the Department of Geography, National Taiwan University. Currently, our research is mainly to quantify and characterize the process of the interaction between the land surface and the atmosphere from micro to regional scale. The more specific topics of our research can be classified into two different categories:

(1) Quantifying the fluxes passing through the interface of the terrestrial biosphere and the near surface atmospheric boundary-layer, and characterize how these ecosystem responses interact with the environment over different temporal and spatial scales, and

(2) Exploring how the changes in land use and land cover alter the microenvironment, especially the energy budgets, air quality and the hydrological cycle in the micro-scale environment.
