台大地理系「地表與大氣交互作用研究室 Surface-Atmosphere Interactions Laboratory  (SAIL)」主要的研究焦點在探討不同類型的地表(包括自然植被以及建成環境)與大氣之間的各種類型的交互作用,例如能量收支,質量交換等。探討的空間尺度從微尺度到區域尺度。主要的研究領域包括以下兩點:

(1)            探討陸域生態系統、植被與近地表大氣邊界層之間各種尺度的交互作用。過去曾探討的地表類型包括森林生態系,濕地生態系,茶園地表等不同類型的植被。研究的內容涵蓋質量通量(如二氧化碳與水氣),動量通量,以及能量通量(如可感熱通量,潛熱通量)。此外也探討當承受環境變遷時,不同類型的植被如何受到影響,以及其如何做出相對應的回饋。

(2)            研究地表環境產生變遷時,如何影響當地的微氣候。相關探討的主題包括建成環境對於微氣候與人體熱環境或熱壓力的影響、土地利用變遷對於區域對流降雨的影響。過去探討的地表類型,包括都市以及鄉村等各種不同類型的建成環境。

Welcome to the “Surface-Atmosphere Interactions Laboratory” (SAIL) of the Department of Geography, National Taiwan University. Currently, our research is mainly to quantify and characterize the process of the interaction between the land surface and the atmosphere from micro to regional scale. The more specific topics of our research can be classified into two different categories:

(1)            Quantifying the fluxes passing through the interface of the terrestrial biosphere or different vegetation types (forest, wetlands, agricultural fields, etc.) and the near surface atmospheric boundary-layer. In addition, our research also focuses on characterizing how these ecosystems or vegetations response to the changes in the environment over different temporal and spatial scales.

(2)            Exploring how the changes in land use and land cover alter the microenvironment. Examining the impact of built environment on the regional microclimate and the influences on thermal comfortability and thermal stress of human body. Analyzing the role of land cover changes on the regional convective rainfall events.
