For DFLL faculty members :

Subsidy for "Teaching Quality Improvement Project 2009" -- Deadline December 15, 2008.
Due to a limited budget, the priority will be given to the DFLL required courses to be offered in Spring 2009 or Fall 2009 that are expected to have a large enrolment.

Applicants must submit "Application Form for Teaching Quality Improvement Project" ( "提升專業課程教學品質計畫申請書" http://www.aca.ntu.edu.tw/sec2007/forms.htm).

If the project includes hiring teaching assistants, the application form for TAs ( 教學助理申請書  http://www.aca.ntu.edu.tw/sec2007/forms.htm) is also required.

Faculty members who would like to apply for this subsity must submit the required forms to TA Winnie Yu and email the files to yulh@ntu.edu.tw by December 15, 2008.

The Dean of the Liberal Arts College invites faculty members to offer courses in the study of life and death (thanatology) as pre-requisites for life science and medical courses.

In order to promote youth's participation in Non-Profit Organizations, the National Youth Commission invites faculty members to offer general education courses in the related issues. For more information, please see NTU bulletin No. 500. (http://140.112.160.126/ann/)

Starting this semester, the university photocopying service will print handouts on both sides of the page. Instructors who need single-sided handouts must state the reason on the photocopy application form and receive approval from the Curriculum Office. (2008.04.01)
The Ministry of Education is promoting the protection of intellectual property (IP) rights and asks all faculty members to tell students not to violate IP laws. The University encourages instructors to use teaching materials made by themselves and to use the NTU "Ceiba" system for uploading and downloading such materials. Instructors should also provide course descriptions each semester before class begins, so that students may purchase second-hand textbooks.
Teaching material of Information Security Courses, created by NationalTaiwan University of Science and Technology, is now available for download. Application for download is open to all college/university faculty members. Application website  http://www.isc.ntust.edu.tw/ (2007.10.15)
