Using Drosophila as a model organism has a long history. This site is established for local fly community as part of the service of the Fly Core in Taiwan (FCT). The initial mission of FCT is to keep a collection of common used Drosophila stocks, general reagents such as common vectors and antibodies, and to provide transgenic service. In addition, we also try to organize the reading materials, reference books and useful links for members in our field. In the future, we will also coordinate student training course, local fly group meeting and workshops for the fly community in Taiwan.
