was established in 2004
Objectives
Research and development of theory and technology
for spatially distributed characteristics as well as the supply
of related information and knowledge to the public and the private
sectors
Main Functions
Scientific research and technological development
for spatial information, manpower training to promote the application
of the information through supplying data and transferring technology
to various users.
Positioning
A think tank and on-the-job personnel training center for government units.
A center for R&D, human resource education
and high-technology transfers for academic and R&D organizations
A center of technological management and services, education for instructors as well as an international communication platform for businesses.
