	In literatures of vertical integration mainly focus on firms only serving one country. This paper shows the importance of foreign market. When there is foreign market, negative effect of VI will be larger then no integration. Whether VI benefit to SW or not which is depending on the relative size of the domestic and foreign markets, the total number of firms, and the number of integrated firms. If the total number of firms is large or when the foreign market is larger than the domestic market, an increase in the number of integrated firms is more likely to harm social welfare. Therefore, if there is foreign country, compared to situations with competitions among few number of firms, it is more critical to pay attention to whether integration leads to a decrease in social welfare when there are large number firms.
