摘要 Abstract of the Paper	This study explores the issue of indirect carbon emissions in upstream and downstream markets, integrating environmental corporate social responsibility (ECSR) and government environmental policies to analyze their impact on corporate behavior and social welfare. With the increasing severity of global warming and extreme climate events, nations worldwide have established net-zero emission targets, promoting policies such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) to accelerate carbon reduction efforts. Against this backdrop, this paper develops a three-stage game model to examine firms' emission reduction behaviors and market interactions under various environmental tax regimes, considering the effects of both direct and indirect carbon emissions on market structure and social welfare. The findings reveal that moderate environmental awareness and policy intervention can enhance overall social welfare, whereas excessive environmental concern may have adverse effects.
