一、碩士班教學目標

1. Objective of Masters degree teaching

本碩士班旨在培養有深廣人類學知識之專業人才,作進一步深入的整合研究。

The aim of this Masters degree teaching is to nurture talent with a solid foundation in anthropology and facilitate further in depth integrated research

(1) Anthropology Masters degree admission examination committee

1. Formed from all full-time department teaching staff over assistant professor level, with the dean of the department as convener.

2. This committee will be responsible for overall management of the Masters degree admission examination and other matters.

3. This committee will be established through the approval of the departmental affairs meeting.

參加入學考試資格(僅招考一般生)

 

1.

報考資格:凡於國內經教育部立案之大學或獨立學院畢業取得碩士學位,或於符合教育部採認規定之國外大學或獨立學院畢業取得碩士學位 should be xue shi—Chinese wrong,或具有同等學力資格,並符合招生簡章所訂其他有關之條件者,得報名參加本項招生,經錄取後入學修讀博士學位。

(2) Qualification for participation in admission examination (only ordinary students accepted)

1. Examination application qualification: Anyone with a Bachelors degree from a university or independent college in Taiwan registered with the Ministry of Education or from an overseas university or independent college that is recognized by the ROC Ministry of Education or has equivalent academic qualifications, who also meets the conditions outlined in the student prospectus, can apply for admission and, after acceptance, study for a Masters degree.

外籍生申請入學

 

1.

申請資格:父親或父母親為外籍人士(非中國人)之外籍學生始得辦理申請。

 

2.

甄選標準:

   

1)大學畢業,其成績總平均達八十分以上。

   

2)修習中文二年以上。

   

3)留學計畫書以中文撰寫為原則,其內容應包括個人簡傳和一般學習的目的。

4)二千字以上的中文專題研究計畫書一篇,其內容應包括研究動機、研究目的、研究方法、暨研究意義等項目。

申請程序:直接向本校研教組提出申請後,由研教組彙整後統一送交本系進行審查作業。

 

4.

其他規定:入學後應視情況,得由系主任或指導教授要求補修人類學系大學部基礎課程,但不列入本系畢業學分計算。

(4) Foreign student application

1. Application qualifications: Only foreign students with a mother or father who is foreign (not Chinese) can apply.

其他規定:凡非人類學系畢業者,入學後應視考試成績及修課情況,得由系主任或指導教授要求應補修人類學系大學部基礎課程,但不列入本系畢業學分計算。若研究生修畢學士班進階課程,且表現良好,則經系主任、授課教師及指導教授同意,則可減修應補修之基礎課程。

5. Other regulations: any non graduates of an anthropology department, after admission and depending on examination result and study situation, can be required by the dean or supervising professor to repeat basic Department of Anthropology undergraduate course (s) but these will not count as degree credits. If a graduate student has completed advanced undergraduate courses and performed well, with the agreement of the dean, the course professor and the supervising professor, the student will not be required to take these basic courses again.

四、課程要求

4 Course requirements

   

()

碩士班研究生應修滿28學分(不含碩士論文及第二外語),其中20學分需修習本所課程(若選修外所課程則需於每學期加退選前填寫抵免申請書,但至多不得超過10學分)。

(1) Masters degree graduate students should complete 28 credits (not including Masters and second foreign language), of which 20 credits should be graduate Institute of Anthropology course (if courses in other institutes are chosen, each semester before adding and dropping of courses an exemption application should be filled in, but should involve more than 10 credits).

碩士班研究生之有效學分為U字頭以上課程,大學部課程不列入最低應修學分計算。

(2) Masters student valid course are courses above “U”. Undergraduate course will not be counted towards minimum credits.

碩士班研究生應於每學期選課開始前與論文指導教授討論修課之安排,並得系主任同意後,始得進行選課。每學期選課時須填寫歷年修課記錄表後繳回系辦公室存查,否則不得完成選課。

(3) Before the start of course selection each semester, Masters students should discuss course arrangements with their thesis supervising professor and choose courses only after receiving the agreement of the department dean. When choosing courses each semester, a past completed course record should be completed and handed into the department office, without which course selection should not be carried out.

碩士班研究生需通過第二外國語測驗或修畢一年外語課程(以本校所規定之德語、法語、日語為原則,若選修其他語言,則需指導教授及系主任同意後,填寫書面報告書,呈報教務處通過後始得修習)。

若在入學前已修過一年第二外語課程且成績及格者(70分以上)或曾通過第二外語免修甄試者,得辦理抵免。

Masters students have to pass a second foreign language text or have completed one year of foreign language study (in principle the university stipulated German, French and Japanese. If other languages are selected, a written report should be written after approval from the supervising professor and dean. This should be passed to the academic affairs department for approval before beginning study)

If before admission one year of a second foreign language has been completed and a pass mark received (over 70), or when a student has passed the second foreign language study exemption test, a waiver can be applied for.

五、論文撰寫

5 Thesis writing

   

()

碩士班研究生除第一學年的導師得為系主任外,最遲需於第二學年第一學期加退選之前選定指導教授,經指導教授同意後,填寫報備表格逕交辦公室存查。

Apart from the first year when the dean will be tutor, at the latest before the end of adding and dropping of courses in the second year a Masters student shall select a supervising professor. After receiving the agreement of the supervising professor, a report form shall be filled in and handed into the office for filing.

碩士班研究生之指導教授需請本系專兼任教授、副教授或助理教授擔任。

(2) A Masters student supervising professor should be a full time professor, associate professor or assistant professor from the department.

指導教授主要負責指導研究生選課及論文撰寫,並為該生學位考試委員之當然成員。

(3) The supervising professor shall supervise the student’s course selection and thesis writing and will be an automatic member of the students degree examination committee.

()

碩士班研究生應於每學期選課開始前與指導教授討論選課安排,得指導教授及系主任同意後,繳交選課記錄表。

Before course selection each semester, a Masters student shall discuss course selection with his/her supervising professor and, after approval by the supervising professor and dean, hand in the course section record.

()

碩士班研究生應自第二學年第一學期開始,每學期與指導教授討論論文研究大綱及預定進度;每學期加退選結束前需繳交研究論文計畫大綱至辦公室存查,否則將不得進行選課。

From the first semester of the second academic year a Masters student shall discuss the outline of their thesis and expected progress once each semester. Before the end of adding and dropping of courses each semester a thesis research plan shall be handed in the office for filing, without which a student shall not choose courses.

本規則係依"國立台灣大學研究所博士暨碩士學位考試規則"訂定

These regulations are set in accordance with the “National Taiwan University Doctorate and Masters Degree Degree Examination Regulations

     

第一條

Article 1

申請資格:

Application qualifications:

 

一、

須修業滿一年,並已修畢本系規定之應修學分。

 

二、

已完成論文初稿。

申請程序:

Application procedure

 

一、

申請期限:依照行事曆規定時間內申請。

第一學期自研究生完成該學期註冊手續起,至十一月三十日止。

First semester: From completion of registration in that semester to November 30

   

第二學期自研究生完成該學期註冊手續起,至四月三十日止。

二、

申請時,除填申請書外,應具備歷年成績表、論文初稿及其提要各一份。

組織學位考試委員會規則:

Regulations for organization of the degree examination committee:

 

一、

學位考試委員由指導教授推薦,人數為3-5人,按規定由校長遴聘之,並由系主任指定一人為召集人,但指導教授不得為召集人。

1 The members of the examination committee shall be recommended by the supervising professor and number 3-5 people. According to the regulations these will be appointed by the principal. One member will be selected as convener by the dean.The supervising professor shall not be convener.

 

二、

學位考試委員資格:除對碩士學位候選人所提論文學科有專門研究外,並應曾擔任教授或中央研究院院士或研究員,或者曾任助理教授以上或中央研究院助研究員以上,或獲有博士學位,在學術上著有成就者。

Degree examination committee member qualifications:   In addition to people with specialized knowledge of the subject of the candidate’s thesis, former professors or fellows or researchers of the Academia Sinica, people who have served as professors over assistant professor level or over assistant researcher level at the Academia Sinica, or who are doctorate holders with outstanding academic achievements, can be committee members.

Article 5

辦理學位考試:

Holding the degree examination:

 

一、

碩士班研究生申請學位考試核准備案後,應以考試委員人數檢具影印之碩士論文與提要,經本系審查符合規定後,擇期辦理有關學位考試事宜。

1 After a graduate student’s degree examination application is approved and a Masters thesis with names of examination committee members and summary is checked and approved by the department, a date will be selected for carrying out degree examination matters.

 

二、

學位考試必須評定成績,評定以一次為限,未評定成績者以考試不及格論。考試成績以七十分為及格,一百分為滿分,以出席委員評定分數平均決定之。

2 Degree examination must involve result marking with only one marking allowed. When marking not carried out a failure will be recorded. The pass mark is 70, with 100 the maximum. The mark will be decided from the average given by attending members.  

 

三、

學位考試至少需委員三人出席,缺席時不得以他人代理。

3. At least three members of the committee shall be in attendance. Absentees should not use proxies.

 

四、

考試不及格,其修業年限尚未屆滿者,得於次學期或次學年重考,重考以一次為限;重考成績仍不及格者,應令退學。

When an exam is failed by a student but the study time limit has not be exceeded, the next semester or next academic year he student can re-take the examination once. When the student fails a second time they should be ordered to terminate their studies.

第六條

Article 6

學位考試日程依照行事曆規定,每學期舉行一次。

The date of the examination shall be in accordance with university calendar regulations and will be held once each semester

第七條

Article 7

擬參加學位考試之碩士班研究生,須於口試前至少三星期,將打字裝訂好之論文初稿親自送交考試委員。

Graduate students wanting to take part in the degree examination should, at least three weeks before the oral examination, pass a bound first draft of their thesis in person to the examination committee.

第八條

Article 8

已申請學位考試之研究生,若因故無法於該學期內完成學位考試,應於學校行事曆規定學期結束日之前報請學校撤銷該學期學位考試之申請。

逾期未撤銷亦未舉行考試者,以一次不及格論。

When graduate students who have already applied to take part in the degree examination are unable to complete the degree examination in that semester they should before the end of the semester, according to the university calendar, apply for the degree examination for that semester to be cancelled. When the examination has not been cancelled and is not held one failure will be recorded

第九條

Article 9

研究生應於學位考試舉行後,於期限內將附有考試委員簽字同意之論文繳交至辦公室(平裝2本)。論文之繳交期限,第一學期為一月三十一日,第二學期為七月三十一日。逾期而未達修業最高年限者,次學期仍應註冊,並於該學期繳交論文最後期限之前繳交,屬該學期畢業。至修業年限屆滿時仍未繳交者,該學位考試以不及格論,並依規定退學。

After the degree examination is held the thesis together with the signed agreement by the examination committee shall be handed in to the office (paper back, two copies). The time limits for the handing in of the thesis are January 31 in the first semester and July 31st in the second. When the time limit is exceeded but the study time limit still has not expired, the student should register again the next semester and hand in the thesis before the end of the thesis hand-in time limit of that semester. The student will be classed as graduating in this semester. When it still has still not been handed in when the study time limit expires the degree examination will be recorded as a failure and the student ordered to end their studies according to the rules.

第十條

Article 10

本辦法經課程委員會會議通過後,自九十四學年度起入學之碩士班研究生開始實施,修改時亦同。

These rules will be applied after approval by the course committee to graduate students admitted from the 94thth academic year.
