Required Registration Information

1. Registration form, certification showing academic background and 3 stamped addressed envelopes.

2.  2 copies of undergraduate and Master¡¦s Degree results.

3. 3 copies of a master¡¦s Degree thesis or other works (these require a Chinese language abstract and where there is no thesis or other works, examinees are required to produce school certification as evidence of having received a Master¡¦s Degree and there being no thesis requirement. Such individuals are requested to provide a school approved semester report)

4. 3 copies of written works

5. 11 copies of a proposed Ph.D. research program 4000-6000 words)

6. Letters of recommendation from 2 professors (these are to be written in the same letter format provided by the department o anthropology, failure to do so will result in letters being considered inadmissible)

Additional Regulations

1. A full score on the 3-hour written examination is 100.

2. Items assessed by the oral examination and relative importance: anthropological knowledge (40%), academic and research attitude (30%), research potential (30%).

3. Items assessed by the evaluation and relative importance: Proposed Ph.D. research program (65%), Master¡¦s Degree or other written work (30%), former academic scores an letters of recommendation (5%).
